Chapter 5 -- The Police-y Staff [Edited!]

The staff sure was happy even though the police-y staff may not have been real; they seemed to act like they actually did bust a criminal. As I was scrolling down the members list to find a member for the fun time game ‘Member Recycling’… at least two times over, I found that three quarters of PC members were banned. The more ‘Popular/known’ members were still apart of the community. The members who joined 2006 and onwards were decreasing and weren’t apart of the community anymore. The stranger thing was that my current account was activated in 2007, when I had originally joined in 2005. One of the higher staff members must’ve realised my previous username was from 2005 and decided not to do what they did to the others. Throughout the last year or so, no staff members had changed their positions on the staff, except a few from the staff had demoted themselves for reasons they weren’t letting on, and a few did join the staff too. Alex, May, Kimi, all the normal friends were still situated on the members list, so that didn’t worry me, at least not for a while. I felt like somehow I could get more involved than any of the staff are letting on. I turned off PC, bored of the usual confusion it caused and decided to partake in the watching of our TV. The news was on so I payed attention to a preview of a story that will be due to come tomorrow. The story before the previews just finished, now as the previews came up, it said "Major crime-bust around the world, online criminals captured for crimes against humanity and murder degree one. This crime base was beaten by a group of staff members on a Pokemon forum, pretending to be staff, while really police, that are more tomorrow". I thought to myself "Wtf… it couldn’t have been PC, could it? Meh, I should find out though, maybe online news will make a connection between these two events." I looked up ‘Pokemon+site+bust’ and Google search returned about fifty results. I didn’t want to take the time to look through all fifty, so because Wikipedia was the closest to the top, I clicked that link. Wikipedia stated "www.pokecommunity.com was one of the many Pokemon sites that had potential killers/actual killers online, using a fast action scheme ranging from 2003- 2008, the staff of Pokecommunity are glad to have thwarted the killers. This, of course, was a major risk to the staff of PC, if the criminals caught on; the staff were in risk of getting hunted down. Thankfully the crime spree is over and as far as we know, Pokecommunity is not allowing anymore signups until they have a 100% effective system to keep anyone else from that crime base out. Some of the members such as Nica-chan, - Flavaquil - and Poketrainer2004 started to catch on to the development but the staff grew weary of Nica-chan’s curiosity, after all, curiosity could have killed them if they looked into it further." I began to think… OMG... I was mentioned on Wiki, I feel famous, anyway, now all the world knows that the staff are police, what should I do, apologise for being interested, or beg for an explanation as of why I got involved? I guess I should try and get an explanation because these events link back to April 2006 and 2007 somehow. However, there were key factors in my PC journey since April 2008 that had contributed to why they treated my opinions differently, even though really, I was no different to the other guy in the thread." Now this was over, I had sometime to settle down and relax until PC’s announcement happened. "The police only had this site open to catch criminals and now they’ve been caught we have nothing else to do except close PC down until further notice." The announcement lasted for around two days, during that time many newer members to PC took this as an advantage to spam and the staff members didn’t do anything about it. It was up to us to save PC and take on roles as leaders so PC can go down with pride. The best option was spamming out their PM inbox. After we got our own spamming done, another announcement was put up a short time later. "The staff have decided to abandon PC and leave it in charge of you. We’ve made one staff member the main admin while the rest of us will most likely never return. Did you really believe that the older members of PC would still like Pokemon? Let me answer that for you, no. The one current administrator will be revealed soon, but we can tell you that he seems to be a person that knows a lot of the members, plus, is the only one who is stupid enough to still enjoy Pokemon. The administrators that had left previously were the ones who retired from the staff because they knew it would be dangerous, NOT, because they had a personal life, So now it’s up to you, the members of PC, to fix it up, we will not be needed for any further assistance as from now."
